Mingjian Organic "Nectar Frost of Spring" Bug Bitten Oolong Tea - Winter 2020Taiwan Sourcing
After years of collaborating with our long term friend Mr. Xie, we finally have time to discuss the possibility of processing his affordable material with our traditional technique. This winter season we were finally able to do so, and despite being "affordable", the tea itself tastes and feels the total opposite.
Like many other teas we produced this season, this material "suffered" from the biting of little grasshopper which has consequently created an unusually sweet aroma and taste. Under our processing guideline of "preservation" and "transformation", the original character of the material was completely retained inside the core of the tea. You will notice an endless flavor coming out from it with brew after brew.
Minor frostbite has also added another distinct flavor to it, resulting in what is probably the highest quality oolong tea in its price range that will surely make the tea lover and the farmer proud. In fact, several experienced tea farmers could not believe this was a "Four Seasons Spring" varietal from Mingjian at all due to how beautiful it is. We hope you can feel the care of land and the passion for processing inside our tea.

Thanks to Mr. Xie's kindness and support, a superb tea at this price was able to born. The fun part is several tea industry related people really could not believe this was a Four Seasons Spring varietal and asked to collect some for their own enjoyment. An old dog can't say this is the best tea in the market, but can confidently say every penny spend on this tea won't be a waste.
