This year, the processing method of this tea was officially formalized after years of experiment. This "Orange Fairy of Lily" is the answer to the middle-ground between Oriental Beauty and traditional oolong tea. This type of processing is the reincarnation of teas that were the ancestors of the modern Oriental Beauty

Our friend Mr. Chen simply handed this material to us without much concern. We have been working together for years now, so leaving high quality material for us to process without doubt is not a problem. Looking back at our work from the past, the material from this season was processed into Oriental Beauty style oolong such as "Topaz Lily". This year with the new concept being applied, it is now a "Fanzhuang Oolong" style tea in our system. This type of tea was common during the Japanese era as the main product for the western market, but is rarely seen this day.

This tea was processed along with an orange kitty at the time, so we would like to use this name "Orange Fairy of Lily" to mark the cute existence of it. We hope you will fully enjoy this creation of us, and do not forget to compare it with "Topaz Lily". The development trajectory shall give you a smile.

  Tasting......

The fresh heated leaf in vessel reveals spiced preserves on the nose, figs and grapes, a gentle and cozy invitation to brew. An orange kitty in ephemeral cuteness purring in our lap.

The first round is so pleasant, gentle fruity spicy, thickening. Boiling water and about 5g/100ml ratio was a sweet spot.

This Ancestor of modern oriental beauty shows it’s colors, autumnal or otherwise, full of depth. Halooweeny, autumnal soothing sweet vibe, not a lot of overt changes in steeps. Mostly an evolution of elegance and texture with undulating subtleties. After many steeps there’s such a grounded, lovely state of mind and sweet echo of the tea resounding in the space.

Jin Xuan varietal from this particular plantation gave us unforgetable experiene, so its finally time to have it made into a fine Fanzhuang Oolong. After more than three years of development we can finally give this season's material a finalized processing style. "Ruby Lily" and "Topaz Lily" both left a significant ground work for the final development of this tea. This "Orange Fairy of Lily" has that smooth touch as the "Orient Fairy" we created this spring. Both are lighter than black tea yet has that reddish touch to a oolong tea structure. The only difference you may notice in these two teas is the terroir each carries, which makes this an excellent opportunity to learn the beauty of terroir in tea.
