Our Winter 2015 Wu She is from the same tea garden as the exceptional Spring 2015 Wushe we offer.  This high mountain Jade oolong is from the highest part of Wu She area which is located at 1700 meters above sea level, and was picked and processed during the most perfect weather conditions, which proved tricky due to the Jeckyll and Hyde weather conditions that prevail in Wushe's high mountain environment.  The combination of human skills and nature's fleeting benevolence makes this a beautiful and solid representation for winter high mountain oolong.

The tea has a very different character from spring tea, and clearly displays the meaning of creating "water".  This tea delivers a unbelievable sugar-like aroma and robust body to the palate.  This tea could not only be a part of your collection, but also could be enjoyed as a great comparison between Spring and Winter tea.  To find out how different these two seasons can be, please have a look at our Spring Wushe Jade Oolong.

The Winter Wu Shu outperformed many other higher elevation (and priced) oolongs in terms of taste and body.  Sweet, cream, fruit and flowers will be revealed!

I suggest brewing it a bit stronger with 8 to 10 grams.  It was very enjoyable with that amount and not overpowering.  A quick rinse reveals a lovely sweet and floral aroma. Quick steeps bring out a beautiful vibrant fresh flavor that is to me rather candy-like.  This is a very affordable and delectable high mountain taste.

As an old dog who loves winter due to the long and thick dog hair, this tea is an classical representation of winter Jade Oolong. From the elevation of 1700 meters (which an old dog must apologize, it mistakes the Spring Wushe as a lower elevation tea while being fascinated by how it taste), the aroma of this tea when it's being placed in a hot teapot is charming to an old dog's nostrils. Robust and almost caramel like, the character in the mouth is more feminine compared to its spring brother.A happy winter tea to every happy tea drinker, including an old dog itself!
