The name of Tea Powder Glaze did not appear until Qing Era.  It was initially documented as "Monopterus Yellow" or "Snake Kind Green".  It is considered as one of the most important glaze from Qing Era. There are two kinds of Tea Powder Glaze, one type contains more green color, and another type contains more yellow color in it.  Traditionally it is often used as an imitation color for "antique copper ware".  Today this kind of glaze goes harmonically with heavy oxidized tea such as oolong.
