Mingjian Natural Farming "Imperial Topaz Spring" Oolong Tea - Spring 2021

This is one of the "two" plantations that inspired us to begin the traditional processing journey since the end of 2017. One of them, as a long time Taiwan Sourcing fan will know, is the plantation that grows "Overlord" and "Nectar Earl." Another one, is this tea you are seeing right now from Mingjian.

Luckily for Mr. Chen, he did not have to join the very hard labor this time as he did with "Topaz Spring" from last year because we decided to create only a small batch to see what could be done when this material was not plucked by machine but by pure hand. So unlike last time, we were able to focus on every detail of what was going on with the material, and bring you this "premium" version of "Topaz Spring."

If you already tried the "Topaz Spring" from 2020, you will notice a richer body is presented on this upgraded version. One interesting aspect to note here is that we noticed Mr. Chen's material was very easy to ferment with. It did not take us any frustration for the transformation to complete beautifully.

 Water is boiling!

  Such a tasty tea! Right off the bat it’s just satisfyingly good. Smooth sweet and thick juicy flavors. Feels so good in the body. Very very enjoyable.

 An old dog bears a small batch of this tea like he did with "Overlord" so he could drink them anywhere anytime he feels the need, especially when he is on a tea processing trip that will consume a lot of energy. This plantation offer a more than enough "Qi feeling" like its sister "Sunshine Jade" or "Night Jade," so with Overlord they became the to-go tea during any tea processing trip. It is not necessarily a "wake-up" feeling, but more like you know something is supporting you tenderly when you truly need one.
