This is our final tea for the season of 2018 winter. After long evaluation we decided to have it charcoal roasted to make the overall structure more intact. The result is something very unusual from any of our previous experience.

We have offered several teas that were made from Cui Yu varietal, so for this tea we decide to do some experiment on this varietal. The name "yellow oolong" is used to indicate that it has partially adopted the idea into making this oolong tea. Due to the success of yellow tea, we think by adopting some of its processing idea into oolong can create a new character for tea. With this concept in mind, we eventually created a special flavor to the tea, making it almost like the "peaty" character to the drinking experience like Islay Whisky.

Drinking this tea might remind you of a roasted Cui Yu GABA tea we offered a while ago, since these two teas are both roasted quite deeply. Furthermore, if you are looking for a tea that has GABA effect, this "Amber Emerald" will have such effect too without the strong GABA character some people may try to avoid. You will find an strong roasted longan aroma in this with the "peaty" character we mentioned. We are fortunate to conclude 2018 with this tea, and we hope you will enjoy it very well.

The aroma is so curious, a baked baozhong-like scent. Green and crisp yet nutty and charcoal notes on the side. It's a comfortable tea to drink. Fresh yet deep flavor and overall mellow feeling in the body. It's just unique .. the yellow tea fermentation nuances can be parsed out with higher leaf and gongfu brewing. Really worth trying if you're a baked Baozhong fan.

Very interesting overall character from Cui Yu varietal. An old dog never expected to find such character in a tea before. It has a very unusual "thickness" to the mouth with a pungent dry longan like aroma. Your mouth will be easily coated with its not over-powered taste with satisfaction. This is not only achieved with our roasting master but our proper fermentation as well.
