2019 Spring Oolong Teas
We encountered something we never experienced before this season. The weather of this spring is unlike previous years - the rain came too late and the drought last too long. Many naturally grown tea trees died or had way too little harvest, which was a major problem to the farmers, and this was why there would be no Baozhong for this season. Another real problem was the difficulty to find plucking labor. Thanks to the late and uneven rain, tea plantation from low to high elevation were sprouting at the same time, forcing the plucking labor to abandon lower elevation plantation for higher pay.
However, we were still able to process lots of outstanding and exciting teas, which are still being refined at the moment of writing. We hope you will feel what we feel this season and enjoy the tea with us no matter where you are in the world.
