This teapot was discovered in the same warehouse which has stored many similar treasures. It is like the Zhuni teapot we offered before, but this particular piece was made by a now famous Yixing artist - Bao, He-Fang (鮑荷芳).

Bao, He-Fang entered Yixing’s Factory One in 1978 and studied her craft under two masters - Masters Shu and Ding. She was assigned to craft this teapot while she was working for the special arts department of Factory One at the end of 1990s. This special artistic department was in charge of the creation of "art piece" level teapots, separate from the regular Factory One pieces; Most of the Factory One products were considered as "kitchen ware" at the time.

This style of pot was invented by teapot master Bao, Zhi-Qian (鮑志強). The form’s inspiration was taken from ancient jade artifacts called "bi" (璧), flat jade discs used in ancient China as a symbol of rank. Master Bao took the impression of stacking "bi" to form the aesthetic of this modern yet classic style that is now well-known in the modern world of Yixing pots. Bao Hefang captured the essence of this design and crafted her own understanding of its style, thus creating the pot you see today

The clay Pin Zini (拚紫泥) literally means that it is a blended clay recipe. However, there is a certain recipe for the forming of good Pin Zini. Despite being blended, that does not mean that an inferior grade of material is used to blend. Instead a certain grade of different Zisha was used to form an even more interesting feeling and beautiful clay. The recipe we are looking at here was refined directly by experienced "clay crafters" at Factory One, giving the tea it brews a relaxed yet breathable feeling. If you are looking for a teapot that has a spacious body to accomodate many guests without spoiling the tea, this will be a great companion for such a purpose
