Yuchi Certified Organic Ruby 18 Bug Bitten Black Tea

Agate series Ruby 18 with Bug Bitten character from Yeh family is our cherished answer to the possibility of this exclusive Taiwanese cultivar.

Announcement of the plucking of this material was often unpredictable as the weather and labor schedule was hard to predict. We often had to manage our tight schedule to arrive at Yuchi on time in order to process the material into the way we need. Fortunately the result always came out wonderfully under our careful execution. In the winter of 2023 we discovered "the" black tea processing method that could give the usual black tea an "Oriental Beauty structure," delivering a clean and clear structure whilte savouring.

Agate series teas provides a broader and deeper experience from the Ruby 18 experience to the market. After years of learning and refining we hope you will feel that  love and care from the craftsmanship on this seemingly usual black tea we made for you.

Exactly what we love about Taiwan’s black tea heritage. Bold yet refined, bright yet balanced. The steeps prove consistently bold and flavorful with the edge kept close, but if you don’t oversteep it really shows such beautiful oomph. What a treat, can easily be enjoyed by itself or with a light snack. It provides multiple brews, 8 grams 8 steeps or so, quick infusions in the beginning then longer.
